Read Fourth in July 2011.
This book scared the crap out of me. The expulsion of free will was terrifying. I thought of all the things I was blessed to control in my life and made me grateful that I was born in 1994.* The scariest part about it was that Winston did not prevail in undermining the Party. He failed and was brainwashed by O'Brien to become one of the mindless followers.

I had to write a ten-page research paper on this book, so I honestly don't really feel up to saying a whole lot about it. It definitely made me think and I certainly approve of it.
*Yes, I'm aware that Nineteen Eighty-Four is fiction.
